After three months of intensive learning and training, the First Cadet Training Program organized by OCEAN SHIPPING has officially come to an end with a meaningful closing ceremony held at Ocean Ship Management and Maritime Services Joint Stock Company (OCEAN SHIPPING).

At the closing ceremony, a representative of the Company’s Management Board – the Deputy General Director – delivered a speech summarizing the training program and recognizing the Cadets’ dedication, efforts, and commitment throughout the three-month training period. The Company also honored and presented awards to three Cadets with outstanding academic performance, in recognition of their efforts and encouraging achievements.

Representing the Cadets, one Cadet expressed sincere appreciation to the Company’s Management Board, as well as the Captains, Chief Engineers, and instructors, for their dedicated guidance and for sharing valuable knowledge and practical experience throughout the program.

A Cadet shared:

“The three months of training at OCEAN SHIPPING provided us with valuable knowledge and practical experience. We would like to sincerely thank the Company’s Management Board, Captains, Chief Engineers, and instructors for their dedicated guidance, which has given us greater confidence and the essential knowledge and skills to begin our professional careers. We will continue to learn, train, and strive to fulfill our duties to the best of our abilities in the time ahead.”

Importantly, the completion of the training program also marked the time when the Cadets officially received their graduation certificates, representing an important milestone in their transition from university life to their professional careers at sea.

On this occasion, OCEAN SHIPPING was pleased to congratulate four Cadets selected to join M.THOMAS, where they will continue their training, gain practical experience, and work directly in a real onboard environment under the guidance of experienced Captains and Chief Engineers.

One of the four Cadets selected to join M.THOMAS also shared his thoughts before embarking on this new journey:

“Being selected to join M.THOMAS is a valuable opportunity for us. We will do our best to learn from experienced seafarers, gain practical experience, and seriously develop our professional skills so that we can gradually grow in our maritime careers. This will be a memorable beginning to our journey toward becoming professional seafarers.”

The closing ceremony not only marked the successful completion of a training program but also opened a new chapter for the Cadets – a journey from newly graduated university students to young seafarers beginning to gain hands-on experience at sea.
